On this 28th of June, The French Embassy in Thailand - Department of Protection of Rights and Freedoms, and the Ministry of Justice has collaborated to bring you the 'Rendez-vous' festival for Equality and LGBTQ rights, encouraging the draft of Same Sex Marriage law, and to move forward in life. Although the said law bill will have to be approved by public opinion before implementation.
 
The French Association of Bangkok and civil society organized the event to provide an opportunity to learn more about community experiences leading to awareness. The French Ambassador to Thailand and the Director-General of the Department for Protection of Rights and Freedoms will be in attendance, after which there will be a presentation of the various aspects. The LGBTI followed by the 30-minute stage drama "The Same Love Monologues," written for this particular event. Finally, a documentary entitled "Under the Veil" will be presented to the director, discussing the barriers and limitations of LGBTI. Brings us to the hardship of the LGBTI group in southern Thailand.
